Programs

EDGEucation has three different programs within the academic year:

The goal of this program is to gather members of the professional organization LAM, community leaders, and professional individuals to be mentors to high school students in need of career guidance. We have started a mentorship pilot program with Hayward High School with 80+ mentees and 50+ mentors. We will continue to expand on the mentorship programs in Fall 2010.

The goal of this program is to invite 20+ members of the professional organization LAM, mentors, and community leaders to high schools around the Bay Area to share their day-to-day in their respective careers. This will help guide students in learning about different career opportunities.

Students get to visit a local university, where they get to meet faculty, students, and get a feel for how a day as an undergraduate student looks like.
